[aka Beadmaking Beginners Workshop] This is the perfect course for those who wish to try their hand at gaining basic skills with quality time behind the flame to hone the techniques you are taught. If you are a current bead or lampwork glass addict then this workshop is the one for you.

This class schedule includes:
Basic studio safety, overview of tools & glass alchemy, how to pull glass for decorating, melting glass for round beads, applying dots and spots, controlling heat to leave raised elements, layered dots patterns, bubbles as elements, concepts of transparency and opacity with design, encasing basics, vine cane, striped murrini cane basics, core encasing, floral beads, basic stringer control, silver foiling, Mirror Beads
Beads cycle in the kiln overnight so completed beads will either be collected by yourself the following day or alternatively for an additional fee Born to Bead can clean your beads and post them through to you.
On average a student will make 20 – 40 beads over the two days
If there are 3 or more of you in a group you can book this course on a day or evening that would suit you and have a private session.
